Storage Baskets For Shelves

Storage baskets are normally used to store small items that can easily get lost around the house. They can be used in any room as long as there's something to store there. Storage baskets for shelves are however going to provide more than just the storage. These designs are very beautiful and can go a long way in giving your plain empty shelves a touch of class and character. Wicker baskets, in particular, can work very well when paired with wooden shelves. However, you don't have to use wicker.

Even brightly colored storage baskets made using other materials will give your open kitchen shelves additional beauty and deliver additional storage space for all of your stuff.

These baskets are simple in their design while they use a medium weave on top of their wireframe to give some extra strength to the basket. It includes two small baskets along with one of medium size and a larger size. A natural color, they are all pretty much the same height while they vary from 8.5” wide to 14” and 16.5”. Thanks to their design, you should be able to use them in any décor no matter the overall design of your home.

This set is built upon a wireframe to give the thick weave a strong foundation while also giving the entire basket some real solidity. Each basket is a different size with the largest measuring 14” in width and 8.125” high. The middle size is 12” wide and 7.25” high and the smallest is 10” wide and 6.5” high. A common design, they will work well in any décor due to their natural decorative nature.

While these baskets are rather traditional in the way they are made, they also manage to achieve a clean, contemporary look that still works in the modern home. Relatively light in color, the tight rattan pattern is attractive while the baskets come in three sizes providing you with more options as to what you may want to store in them in your home.

With this basket, you can choose between the natural finish or espresso. Incorporating the water hyacinth look, the weave with this basket is not as fine as with other options, but the chunky feeling is attractive to the eye. Measuring only 15.75” in width, it also comes with a liner which can be easily removed to clean it.

Diamond Pattern Oval 2 Piece Wicker Basket Set

Available in either a black or brown finish, these baskets have an oval design which means there are two colors of wicker woven together to create a two-tone effect. Made using a tight weave method, it incorporates both seagrass and water hyacinth while they also have handles integrated into the design. The difference in size is slight with the width of the smallest being 16” while the largest is 18”.

Created from woven seagrass, the four baskets that appear in this set are all of the same size with them measuring some 12” x 8” x 6”. Carrying handles have been incorporated into their design when being made with these handles reinforced to give some solidity to the basket. Perfect for a range of homes, they are relatively light in color and yet will work well with pretty much any décor.

With a two-tone design, this basket set has both a natural color as well as a darker brown which does make the design different from the majority of wicker baskets. Rather rustic in its design, they use the thick fiber weave as their design over the wireframe that forms the base of the basket. Measuring 12” wide followed by increasing by 2” with each basket, they nest together when they are not in use.

Each basket in this set comes in different sizes and while they have a rectangular shape, they are made by using traditional weaving methods and it is all done by hand. The handles are built into the sides of the baskets and this does not make it weaker. Made using organic materials, they are exceptionally decorative in nature while they can all be nested together when you are not using them.

Using white paper rope as the material, what you have is a basket that is softer to the touch but it is still strong and durable like other types of materials. The tight weave does give it some extra strength, and even though it is finished in white don’t think that this is merely for a coastal-inspired home. Instead, these are practical items suitable for a wide range of homes.

This set is attractive and contemporary in its design. With the baskets varying in size it does give you different options as to what you will use them for. They have a two-tone design while there is a light brown with a white base and there are handles that have been woven into the baskets to make it easy to carry them. Starting at 11” across, they measure 13” and 15” respectively.

Seagrass Water Hyacinth Wicker Basket (Set of 2)

These baskets do come with two different sizes and are made from 100% water hyacinth which is woven over an iron frame for the strength and solidity of the basket. Using quite a thick weave, they are fresh in design even though they will then be able to be used in a variety of homes. The lining is made from linen and it can be removed for the sake of washing.

A two-tone effect, they use rattan in a tight weave design and it makes these baskets relatively strong compared to others on the market. You do get baskets in three sizes, although there is not much of a difference between them. Quite traditional in style, they will still work well in a variety of homes either for storage or even as a decorative piece.

Available in three differing sizes, these baskets are made from traditional seagrass while they also have a tightly woven design. Strong and versatile, you will be able to store numerous items in them while they also have a decorative feature that goes beyond working in just a beach or coastal themed home.

This basket comes in either an espresso or white finish and they use natural willow as the material which does mean it has a far more traditional look than some of the more contemporary style baskets. Offering a real farmhouse or countryside appeal, it measures 8” high, 10” wide and 10” deep.

Longer than most baskets, they are made from natural seagrass while offering you some amazing storage space that is also rather attractive in nature. This set is different in that it does have some metallic segments woven in to add some real sparkle to the baskets that will catch the light. At 16” wide, they are long, but thanks to their design they will work well in a number of different rooms with less need to worry about the overall décor of the room thanks to their natural appeal.
